REGINA POLICE SERVICE AND IDI REGINA PARTNERED RAMAZAN FAST BREAKING DINNER
IDI Regina and Regina Police Service has organized Ramadan Fast-breaking Dinner to emphasize cultural harmony in the Holy month of Ramadan.
The theme of the night was “Fasting and Social Services”. Regina Police Service Acting Chief Mr. Dean Rae, Saskatchewan Minister of Culture Mr. Mark Docherty, Opposition Party leader Mr. Trent Wotherspoon, MLAs, executive officers of Regina Police Service, and civil society leaders have participated to this special Ramadan Dinner. The director of Catholic Studies in Campion College University of Regina Assistant Prof Sami Helewa was the keynote speaker of the night.
IDI Regina and Regina Police Service have again organized Ramadan Fast-breaking dinner that made people from different backgrounds come together around the same table at the center of IDI foundation.
One of the boards of directors, Mr. Hasan Topal, has made the welcome speech and he gave some information about the IDI foundation and its missions and visions. After welcome speech, the introductory videos about IDI foundation and Regina Police Service have represented to the guests.
The minister of Culture Hon. Mark Docherty and Opposition Party leader Mr. Trent Wotherspoon have invited to the stage to make some remarks about the IDI foundation and Regina Police Service.
An introductory video about the Holy month of Ramadan has presented after their remarks. At the end of video, there was `call of prayer` that means everyone is allowed to break their fasts. Some popular dishes and desserts from Turkish cuisine have been served to the guests.
Regina Police Service Acting Chief Mr. Dean Rae has invited to the stage to make some remarks about the night as one of the partners of the dinner. Beginning of his speech, he has stressed multicultural form of Regina. He has spoken in praise of these Ramadan Fast-breaking dinners that bring people together on the same table and talk to each other regardless of their races, colors, and cultures.
The keynote speaker of the Dinner Assistant Prof Sami Helewa, the director of Catholic Studies in Campion College University of Regina, has invited to the stage to make his speech. Mr. Helewa has said, “Fasting is the spiritual discipline to knowledge and to understand needed people.”
The Ramadan Fast-breaking Dinner partnered by IDI Regina and Regina Police Service has finished with good wishes to everyone.

REGİNA POLİS SERVİSİ VE İDİ REGİNA ORTAK RAMAZAN İFTAR YEMEĞİ
Regina Polis Servisi ve Regina Kültürlerarası Diyalog Enstitüsü (İDİ) mübarek Ramazan ayında kültürel harmoniye vurgu yapmak için ortak Ramazan İftar yemeği verdiler.
Teması “Oruç ve Sosyal Hizmetler” olan iftar yemeğine Regina Emniyet Müdür Vekilinin yanısıra Saskatchewan Kültür Bakanı, Muhalefet Parti lideri, milletvekilleri, üst düzey Emniyet amirleri ve sivil toplum liderleri de katıldılar. Programın ana konuşmacısı Regina Üniversitesi Campion Koleji Katolik çalışmalarının başkanı olan Asistan Prof Sami Helewa idi.
İDİ Regina ve Regina Polis Servisi bu yıl da vakfın merkez binasında birlikte düzenledikleri Ramazan iftar yemeği sivil toplumu ve güvenlik güçlerini aynı Ramazan masası etrafında topladı.
Programın açılış konuşmasını yapan Hasan Topal bey İDİ vakfının vizyonu ve misyonu hakkında misafirlere bilgi verdi. İDİ Regina vakfı ve Regina Polis Servisi tanıtım videolarının izlenmesinin ardından Saskatchewan Kültür Bakanı Mark Docherty bey ve Muhalefet Parti lideri Trent Wotherspoon bey program ve İDİ vakfı hakkındaki izlenimlerini paylaşmaları adına sırayla kürsüye davet edildiler.
Misafirlere izlettirilen Ramazan tanıtım videosunun ardından okunan ezan ile program yemeklerin yenmesiyle devam etti.
Yemeğin ardından sahneye Regina Emniyet Müdürü vekili Dean Rae bey izlenimlerini paylaşması için kürsüye davet edildi. Sayın Rae Reginanın çok kültürlü yapısından bahsetti ve farklı ırkları, renkleri, kültürleri aynı masa etrafında toplayıp kültürel bir mozaik oluşturan Ramazan iftarlarından övgüyle bahsetti.
Gecenin ana konuşmacısı Asistan Prof Sami Helewa bey konuşmasını yapmak için kürsüye davet edildi. Sayın Helewa konuşmasında oruç tutmanın insanı manevi hayatını disipline ettiğini ve ihtiyaç sahiplerini görmemizi ve daha iyi anlamamızı sağladığını söyledi.
Yoğun bir katılımın olduğu program iyi temenni dilekleri ile sona erdi.
